1951 Other Makes : Mondial 160 T2
Bidding has ended |
From a huge Motorcycle collection we will be selling some duplicate bikes in the next few Weeks. Many of the bikes were imported directly from Europe and will be sold to the highest bidder.
Hi All, Today we have a super rare 1951 Mondial 160 T2 up for auction. Mondial's were the most exclusive and desirable bikes ever made in Italy and it shows in there design. The craftsmanship and attention to detail on these hand built bikes is second to none. Mondial's are some of the most desirable collectors bikes in the World and you rarely see any of this caliber come up for sale.
This wonderfully restored bike is a very early 160cc T2 that has girder or some times called blade forks. Mondial's only had these forks for a couple of years before going to the regular telescopic kind. This fantastic bike runs strong and is surprisingly fast for something of this age. Two stroke fans will appreciate that these bikes were the king of the road in there days. This concourse condition bike dose have a couple of issues that I need to mention. The muffler has some scuffs but looks to be original and probably not replaceable. There also is bubbles in the paint in the knee section of the gas tank. These don't show up well in the photos so I thought I would bring it to your attention. The frame and engine numbers match and this is not some put together parts bike. Don't miss this rare opportunity to add this bike to your collection and this will be sold with a "bill of sale" only. This bike has never been registered in the USA and kept in a private collection until now.
